Laura first noticed the ways stories could move people and motivate change in the hours
passed with her nose in a book on a rural school bus route.
Since then, she’s written and photographed
stories for the world’s largest branded beef company, ran an award-winning weekly newspaper, and offered strategic communication solutions for agriculture organizations as the owner of her own communications company.
Her first book, LEGACIES, studies the leadership styles and agricultural history molded by
Montana Farm Bureau Federation members in the organization’s first 100 years. The book Legacies: The values, principles and purpose of the Montana Farm Bureau Federation
is now available in print.
After nearly a decade of writing and exploring under the shadow of south-central Montana’s
Crazy Mountains, Laura returned to her roots in western Nebraska. She's currently researching and writing a book-length biography on one of the cattle industry's most iconic entrepreneurs.
